Meet the Team: Charlotte Riley, Office Administrator
Charlotte Riley is an office administrator based in our Wanstead branch.
Charlotte joined the company just over two years ago, having worked in the property industry for the past nine years.
Ensuring that the administration for both sales and lettings is completed accurately and in a timely manner and that the office is maintained.
I also act as assistant to the head of office and help the consultants when required.
The first point of contact when someone walks through the door, you have to ensure the office is always maintained to a high standard just like the service we offer.
From sending documents through to solicitors for sales to drawing up tenancy agreements for lettings, there is always something that can be done.
Having worked at a corporate estate agency previously; I felt they discouraged me from being myself from all the different processes you had to follow.
A colleague spoke to me about Keatons and told me they were opening a new office in Wanstead.
I jumped at the chance to work with people who not only look after you but their clients too instead of just being a number.
Having to tell a client something that is completely out of your hands, when you understand exactly where they are coming from but cannot change the outcome for them, it’s sometimes difficult to keep everyone happy.
I would say when a sale completes or a new tenant is moving in, when they walk into the office to collect their keys the excitement and smiles on their faces is amazing and knowing that, in some way, that I was a part of that makes me happy as they are about to start a new chapter in their lives.
My first day, as soon as I walked through the door I could tell it would be completely different to where I was before.
Everyone enjoys where they work and what they do and we are definitely different to every other agent, it’s good to be different and to stand out from the rest.
Shopping for things for my new home that I recently bought with my fiancé and searching through interior design magazines, I’d honestly say seeing all the different properties that we sell and rent has given me so many ideas I don’t know what to do first, much to the annoyance of my fiancé!
