Meet the Team: Property Manager, Joanne Lane

Joanne Lane, 24, joined Keatons in April 2015 as an Assistant Property Manager and has in this time progressed to a Property Manager now dealing with the accounts side of the business also.

I am responsible for…

All aspects of maintaining properties during a tenancy; from repairs and maintenance to deposit release procedures.


A property manager is…

Someone who is able to multi-task well and is competent in dealing with a large array of clients.


As a property manager you have to liaise with several people to resolve one task, so being organised is a must.


On a daily basis, we deal with tenant issues and organise repairs, process insurance claims, approve invoices and chase contractors.


On the accounts side we chase rent arrears, respond to landlord’s financial queries and make payments.


I got my job…

Through my sister Claire who is EA to the Directors, at the time I had recently graduated from university and was looking for a step on the career ladder.


The worst part of my job…

Not being able to make all our clients happy. It is a difficult job being a property manager as you are dealing with the clients when things aren’t right most of the time.


At Keatons we endeavour to meet the needs of all our clients.


The best part of my job…

Coming into work, and being with a team who are fun to work with and make every day enjoyable, even when we’re exceptionally busy.


My most memorable day…

Christmas Jumper Day! It was great fun seeing everyone get into the Christmas spirit whilst raising money for charity.


After work I enjoy…

I love spending time with my family and friends.
