Warm Up Your Outside Space

Remember, remember the 5th of November…. The ever so exciting Bonfire night is fast approaching and where better to celebrate the occasion than in your very own back garden.

Colder weather doesn’t need to mean hibernation which is why this month we’ve put together some easy and impressive ways to warm up your outside space so you can enjoy the celebrations under the stars!

A really simple and thoughtful idea is to gather all of the blankets in your home, roll them up and place them in a basket –old or new it doesn’t matter. If you don’t have enough for everyone throw in some woolly scarves or get your friends to snuggle together.  Have them ready and waiting for your guests’ arrival. Be sure to keep the blankets away from any flames.

As the pitch-black sky lights up with exploding bursts of colour why not keep the garden lit up after the last firework has fizzled out.

Wrapping fairy lights around trees and plants & along fences creates an inviting and magical feel. There is a huge variety to choose from, whether you go for simple white, fun shapes or even mini lanterns, your garden will be a glowing wonderland.

Top tip: scatter and zig zag the cables to create a natural effect!

Another great idea is to fill empty Mason jars with pretty much anything you can find in your garden… soil, pebbles, sand. Next pop a candle inside the jar and light it up then place the jars sporadically around the garden or hang them on fences. They also look great as a centrepiece for your outdoor table.

Top tip: if you’re not keen on candles, swap for short fairy lights, they look just as effective.

Heat lamps are a great crowd pleaser and are not as expensive as you might think.  Our top pick are firepits as you can keep warm whilst toasting marsh mallows and who doesn’t love this sound and smell of a crackling fire on a crisp winter evening.

Have a warm, safe and fun winter outside!
